Maintained Emergency Lighting

A maintained emergency lighting fixture is a luminaire that is on at all times. In the event of a power cut the battery back up cuts in and provides a level of illumination sufficient for anyone inside the building to be abvle to lewave safely.

Non Maintained Emergency Lighting

A non maintained emergency lighting system the fixture only illuminates in the event of a power failure under normal conditions the luminaire will be off.
